As moderator for Gaymers United, you’ll be the on to make sure everyone in our community is having a pleasant and welcoming experience. You make sure there’s a open and pleasant atmosphere within Gaymers United as you make sure we don’t have unwanted posts, reactions or discussions within our community and social media as well as driving topics that contribute to our goals.
Who we are
A role with Gaymers United, is a role with a mission. Our mission, on which you’ll contribute, is to unite gamers within the European and world wide LGBTIQ+ community by providing a warm, safe and open community within the LGBTIQ+ community in which our members have a feeling of safety, so they can happily join in and focus on games, gaming and other activities.
What to expect from this role?
You’ll have a guiding and driving role within Gaymers United and our community. Joining us as moderator, will mean that you’ll have a watchful eye and check that all outings on our social media are consistent with our code of conduct and guidelines. You can, within a framework laid down, make independent decisions and take action which contributes to an open and pleasant atmosphere within our community. You report you actions to the staff on a periodic basis and also provide input in the further development of our code of conduct and guidelines.
What to bring?
Most important to us is that what you do, you do it well, and wat you do well also does you well. The basis is enjoyment in your activities, we value this because we all do this on a voluntary basis.
We do appreciate if you’re a Gaymer and an active member within the LGBTIQ+ community or have a strong affinity for this community. We do value a fluent competence in English or any other language you master, both in speech as in writing. We also value your ability to make independent decisions and are pro-active and ethical in judging outings made within our community.
